Exhibit Submission Forms
Please use the following forms for submitting Artwork to the York Art Association
The York Art Association Gallery Committee accepts requests from individuals and groups for exhibitions on an on-going basis. Work is reviewed not only for its excellence, but also for the genre of work needed for the gallery schedule. You will be notified within thirty days of the status of your request.
Requests to show in the Nancy M. Woodward Gallery are accepted from both members and nonmembers. Requests to show in the Sally Little Danyo Members’ Sales Gallery are accepted from members only.
To request an exhibition, please complete the provided “Request for Exhibition” form and forward along with a resume, short biography, artist’s statement, and images of ten to twenty recent works to the address below. The images may be submitted on a CD or viewed on a web site. Solo exhibitions are rarely granted and if submitting individually, an artist may be paired or grouped with other individual applicants at the Gallery Committee’s discretion.
If making a request for a group show, please have all participating artists complete pages 2 and 3 below. The name of the curating artist of the group should be included in the spaces provided.
If submitting a CD, please write your name on the CD with a permanent marker and include a numbered list of the works including title, medium, size and the year of completion in the order they appear on the CD. The images included should show a body of work and should reflect the style and content of the work you would like to show.
Members may submit two original pieces of 2-D or 3-D artwork, completed within the past three years and/or prior works that are representative of the artist’s current artistic efforts or growth. Artwork must be wired for hanging (no sawtooth hangers) with a maximum framed size of 48” wide x 60” high, and not previously shown in a YAA exhibition. The number of accepted entries will be limited to 100 pieces. For diptychs and triptychs to be considered one piece, they must be in the same frame.
Professional / Non-professional: An artist may submit as either unless he/she has won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
place in three York Art Association member or open exhibitions. Artists with this qualification must
submit as a Professional.
